About Boxer Motor Works in Salem, MA

Jason Seidman and Sergio Mequita both grew up in Peabody. Jay’s passion for cars began at a young age when he would listen to his father’s stories about the old muscle cars he used to own. From then on, Jay knew he wanted to be a part of the automotive field. Once reaching high school, he participated in the Peabody Vocational Automotive Program and joined fellow classmate, Sergio, on the pursuit to make their passion a career. After high school, both Sergio and Jay were employed at Ira Subaru, where they perfected their trade. Both Subaru certified technicians, they were the top producers at the shop for over 10 years.

While gaining experience in the dealership world, both Jay and Sergio also managed fixing and maintaining all make and model cars for their friends and families. The volume of additional work kept growing as word of mouth about their accurate service spread. They paired up and decided to make the jump to start their own auto repair business, offering dealership quality without the dealership cost. Today, that business is called Boxer Motor Works.
